Chicory Root is one of many organic herbs that are not only used therapeutically, but for nutrition as well. A good source of inulin, a type of prebiotic fiber that may support weight loss and improve gut health. It also contains some manganese, potassium and vitamin B6. Chicory Root can be used as medicinal herbs and in the kitchen as a spice, boiled up as a side dish, or on salads.
Ingredients: Organic Chicory Root Raw C/S (Cichorium intybus). Also known by Succory, wild chicory, wild succory, and coffeeweed.
Suggested Use: Add to soups, cooking, smoothies, baths, etc. Infuse in water or olive oil. For hot or cold tea, pour 8-12 oz of boiling water over 1 tsp. of herbs. Steep 3-4 min.
